This is the second image part of a small series of prints, that attempt to take on the subject of climate change, the destruction of ecosystems, plants, animals, and our collaboration as a species to this devastation.
In this image a Teratorn vulture already extinct, it's surrounded by Marigold flowers which in México are commonly offered to the dead in their long path back to the earth.
A version of this design was destined to the new record "Luctus" by Tijuana/Chula Vista punk band Bumbklaatt. The image can be found on the back cover, insert and in a variety of collages done in collaboration with artist Adrian Balderramaalso drummer for the band. Santiago Armengod is a contemporary Mexican print maker.
I have found his work when researching linoleum printing and found his work quite engaging.
Ricardo Flores Magón was and still is one of the most influential figures in the course of Mexican Social Struggle. His legacy is written in the Mexican Peoples conviction in our search for Justice and Freedom, Land and Struggle, following this prominent Anarchist's example for a century. Let us now celebrate Revolutionary Struggle with this legacy. One color Linoleum block print

Puddle (M. C. Escher)

Dimensions24 cm × 31.9 cm (9.4 in × 12.6 in)
Puddle is a woodcut print by the Dutch artist M. C. Escher, first printed in February 1952.
Since 1936, Escher’s work had become primarily focused on paradoxestessellation and other abstract visual concepts. This print, however, is a realistic depiction of a simple image that portrays two perspectives at once. It depicts an unpaved road with a large pool of water in the middle of it at night. Turning the print upside-down and focusing strictly on the reflection in the water, it becomes a depiction of a forest with a full moon overhead. The road is soft and muddy and in it there are two distinctly different sets of tire tracks, two sets of footprints going in opposite directions and two bicycle tracks. Escher has also captured three elements: the water, sky and earth.
